While the Cybertruck is praised for its futuristic design and cutting-edge features, the cost of long-distance driving has raised eyebrows among some owners and prospective buyers.
According to the owner, the cost to drive 340 miles—an average range on a full charge for the Cybertruck—is approximately $18. This may seem reasonable compared to the rising prices of gasoline for traditional vehicles, but it’s important to note that the price varies based on several factors. These include the location of charging stations, regional electricity rates, and the charging method used (home charging vs. public supercharging stations).
For comparison, many gasoline-powered vehicles would cost significantly more to travel the same distance, with prices fluctuating between $30 and $50 depending on fuel prices. However, the Tesla owner pointed out that this figure is still higher than some might expect, especially given the Cybertruck’s hefty price tag and its status as a revolutionary EV.
