A friend, concerned after failing to reach her, discovered her body around 4:50 p.m. local time and alerted authorities. Police have stated that no signs of foul play were found, but an investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.

Born in 2000, Kim began her acting career at the age of nine, quickly gaining recognition for her roles in films such as “A Brand New Life” and “The Man from Nowhere.” Her performance in the latter, alongside actor Won Bin, solidified her status as a promising young talent in the South Korean film industry. She continued to build her career with notable appearances in “The Neighbor” and the Netflix series “Bloodhounds.”

In May 2022, Kim was involved in a drunk driving incident in Seoul’s Gangnam district, where she crashed her vehicle into an electrical transformer box. Following the incident, she faced challenges in her career and personal life, including financial difficulties and severe depression.
