My Daughter Started Sleepwalking, I Followed Her One Night and Was Shocked by What I Saw

It started innocently enough. My 7-year-old daughter, Lily, began sleepwalking a few weeks ago. At first, it was just a few steps, wandering into the living room before I gently guided her back to bed. But soon, her sleepwalking episodes became more frequent and more erratic. She’d get up in the middle of the night and leave her room, her eyes closed, her movements stiff and robotic.

One evening, after hearing the familiar shuffle of her feet, I decided to follow her. I quietly got out of bed, trying not to disturb my husband, and crept after her. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, unsure of what to expect.

Lily moved through the house like a ghost, her small hands brushing against the walls as she made her way down the stairs. When I reached the bottom of the staircase, I froze. She was standing in front of the large window in our living room, staring out into the darkness.

But it wasn’t just any ordinary sleepwalking behavior. As I watched, Lily began speaking, her voice soft and eerie. “He’s here,” she whispered. “I have to go with him.”

A chill ran down my spine. My daughter had never spoken like this before. I watched in disbelief as she reached for the door handle, seemingly unaware of my presence. My instinct was to intervene, but I hesitated, not wanting to scare her or disturb her fragile state.

Before I could act, I noticed something strange in the reflection of the window. A shadowy figure stood just outside our front yard. It was faint, almost ghost-like, but it made my blood run cold.

Suddenly, Lily stopped, turned around, and walked back to her room, as though nothing had happened.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. What had I just witnessed? Who—or what—had she been talking to?
