Brittney Griner spotted crying outside her house just hours after claiming wife cheated on him and slept with man: “She slept with him more times in a week than she slept with me in years”

In 2015, WNBA star Brittney Griner filed for an annulment of her marriage to fellow player Glory Johnson just 28 days after their wedding, citing allegations of infidelity and claiming she felt pressured into the union. Griner alleged that Johnson had been unfaithful during their engagement, including maintaining communication with an ex-boyfriend and engaging in a sexual relationship with a man during their courtship

Court documents revealed that Griner discovered Johnson had been texting her ex-boyfriend in April 2015, shortly before their wedding. Griner stated that had she known about Johnson’s continued affection for her former partner, she would not have proceeded with the marriage

The couple’s relationship had been tumultuous, marked by a domestic violence incident in April 2015 that led to both players being arrested and suspended for seven games by the WNBA . Despite this, they married in May 2015, but the union quickly unraveled.

Johnson later announced she was pregnant via in vitro fertilization, a development that Griner claimed she was unaware of at the time of filing for annulment . The annulment was ultimately denied, and the couple’s divorce was finalized in 2016

Griner has since continued her professional basketball career, representing the United States in international competitions and playing in the WNBA. She has also been open about the challenges she faced during this period, using her experiences to advocate for mental health awareness and support for LGBTQ+ athletes.
