Ethan looked at him in disbelief. “What do you mean? Who are you, and why are you doing this?”
The elderly man paused, visibly upset. “I’m your father, Ethan.” The words hit like a bombshell. Ethan staggered back, his face drained of color. “What?” he whispered, clearly shocked.
The man continued, “You were just a boy when I left. I’ve been trying to reach you for years. You’re about to marry someone you don’t even know. I’m here to tell you the truth about Mia.”
